Risda University College to be set up in Perlis

• Risda College to be upgraded to Risda University College
• Situated in a 21-hectare site in Titi Tinggi, Perlis

Risda College which is owned by Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority(a government agency under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development) will be upgraded to University College. Its new campus will be built at a 21-hectare site in Titi Tinggi, Perlis at the cost of RM31 million. Children of smallholders will be given priority to pursue their higher education here.

Currently Risda College offers agriculture, computer and business related programs at certificate and diploma level. It also collaborates with UPM and UiTM to offer a few diploma programs.

Perlis currently has 4 public higher learning institutions - Universiti Malaya Perlis (UniMAP), UiTM, Institut Pendidikan Guru (Perlis campus) and Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin and one private learning institution - Allianze University College of Medical Sciences (AUCMS)
