Buying a car is a dream many university students hope to one day realise. Owning your own set of wheels, taking on a responsibility of such magnitude--- it’s indicative of one growing up and maturing. One potential road block though, is the price. Cars are expensive machines that require quite a bit of money, both to purchase and maintain. Students from Peninsula College however, may find it slightly easier to afford one from now on, after Dato’ Michael Tio, Chief Executive Officer at PKT Logistics Group, offered RM1,000 off the all-new Kia Picanto for all students of the institution.

In a post on his Facebook page, Dato’ Michael Tio highlighted the features of the Kia Picanto, a car that has safety features galore, helping it attain its safe A segment car status. The trappings of protection are coated with a trendy and modern design, appealing to the youth of today. Accompanied by CEO of Naza Motor Group, Dato’ Anand Samson George, Dato’ Michael Tio was shown in and around the new Picanto, resulting in an impression so lasting, the latter decided to come up with his generous offer. “I have offered all Peninsula College students nationwide with RM1,000 subsidy. Just show your student ID. Only available at KIA Puchong”, he typed in the caption accompanying his post.
The collaborative effort shown involving Peninsula College supported by PKT Logistics, Kia and Naza, is a testament to the institutions dedication in building bridges with industry juggernauts, ensuring their students are given support in one way or another, be it through early exposure to the practical nature of the job, internship opportunities, and perhaps even job placement. One thing is for certain though, Peninsula College is on the rise, and its students, can now be on the go with the all-new Picanto.
