The Malaysian Examinations Board (MEB) will later lodge a police report in regards to an allegation that a syndicate is involved in "selling" Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2016 papers.
Education Minister Mahdzir Khalid said the Ministry of Education (MOE) took a serious view of the allegation and would not hesitate to take legal action against the source if the allegation was proven to be untrue.
“This is a serious matter. I urge the police to investigate so that we can prosecute those who made the allegation. So far, there is no such thing (the syndicate as alleged),” he said. This was after a source alleged of a syndicate performing such acts and that some senior officers of the ministry were involved.
