Minister for Rural and Regional Development Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said he would inform MARA director-general to review its sponsorship to Taylor’s University. It was noted that existing students will not have their sponsorship revoked. He did not name the reasons behind the possible termination.
Taylor's University has not issued a response as they have yet to receive official word of the termination from MARA or the Ministry. Â Taylor's University Deputy Vice-Chancellor Dr Pradeep Nair said "We have not received any formal notification from Mara to this effect. Until such time, we won't be able to release any comments on this."
In the meantime, it reaffirms that its main priority and focus is for its students and their best interest.
