Malaysian higher education authorities are determined to have 2 of Malaysia's public universities in the top 100 rank worldwide by the year 2020.
The Malaysian higher education blue print (2015-2025) is an initiative taken by the ministry of higher education where the necessary funding and expertise are allocated to help support the universities in this endeavour.
There are 5 contenders currently working towards achieving this prestigious target and according to QS World University Ranking, these universities are getting closer to achieve and climb higher on the ranking ladder:
It seems remarkable that UM has taking over globally recognised names like University of Liverpool (UK), the University of Waterloo (Canada), and the University of Reading (UK).
