  • From the present 18 per cent, IIUM plans to increase its foreign student enrolment to 30 per cent in the next 3 years

To achieve this target, IIUM president Tan Sri Dr Rais Yatim announced that they would form a committee. Moreover, initiatives such as upgrading facilities in its campuses in Petaling Jaya, Gombak and Indera Mahkota will be given priority.

"We will also promote IIUM overseas especially in Muslim countries. Our aim is to make IIUM the top choice among those who want to pursue their studies in Islamic civilisation and medicine," he said.

IIUM will have its own hospital when the RM10 million facility in Indera Mahkota is completed in 2016. The hospital to be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, is expected to provide the best medical services at reasonable rates.
