UTM has joined a handful of other public universities with a second intake. Students who did not get through UPU the first round will be thrilled to find out that UTM has recently opened a second intake in February 2018. Students can start applying for either the full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme from today until November 25, 2017.

Requirements for local undergraduate studies:
- Qualification Certificate (STPM / Matriculation / Diploma / A-Levels / Equivalent)
- Qualification Transcripts (Diploma / A-Levels / Equivalent)
- Accreditation Programme by MQA for Diploma holder
- Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) certificate
- English language certificate (MUET)
- Identity Card (Mykad)
- Sponsor Letter (if applicable)
- Proof of working experience (if applicable)
- Proof of Processing Fees (if applicable)
Requirements for local postgraduate studies:
- Bachelor/Master Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master Academic Transcripts
- English language certificate (IELTS/ TOFEL/ TOFEL IBT/ ELS CIEP/ MUET/ TEEP)
- Sponsor Letter (if applicable)
- Referee statement(s) (if applicable)
- Research proposal (for PhD candidates by research)
- Identity Card (Mykad)-sized photograph
- Proof of Working Experience (if applicable)
- Copy of Identity Card (Mykad) (with photo and personal details)
- Proof of Processing Fees (if applicable)
