Malaysia's institutions of higher learning are now proven to have produced outstanding students of quality education that could potentially arise among the best in the world.
Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh said, according to a report by the QS World University Ranking 2015/2016, it shows that the country's public universities have consistently improved it's position every year.
According to him, Universiti Malaya (UM) for example was ranked 146th followed by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) at number 289 and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) at number 331.
"UM also recorded two Top 50 which is the subject of Development Studies at number 30, while the subject of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is ranked No. 37.
"School of Chemical Engineering at USM was ranked 46th and this all is based on an assessment conducted QS World University Rankings by Subject 2016," he said when opening the Student Achievement Awards 2015 at Dewan Kompleks Sukan Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP).
