Chairman of the JPB 2016 Committee, Tan Sri Prof. Dr. Sahol Hamid Abu Bakar stated that since March this year, technical courses have proven to provide opportunities for qualified Bumiputeras who are academically left out to continue their studies.

"Throughout the Jelajah Pendidikan Bumiputera 2016, around 12,000 students were offered placements in IPT and the number is expected to grow.

"We have 35 more locations to be explored in order to search and identify Bumiputera dropouts due to povertybut have the desire to continue their tertiary studies," he said at a press conference after the launch of the program at the Industrial Training Institute in Rembau.
