10-subject limit for SPM students stays

Deputy Prime Minister who is also the Education Minister recently said the 10 subject limit for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) students will stay. The 10 subject limit was imposed 2 years ago so that students can focus on main subjects. Previously there was no limit on number of subjects students can take.

We have had students like Nur Amalina Che Bakri who scored 17 1As in SPM 2005 and Azali Idris who scored the highest number of 1As in the country with 20 1As in SPM 2007.
