Notably, the discussion focused on collaborative Master of Engineering degree programmes – in the areas of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Power and Mechanical Engineering – and other postgraduate degree programmes.

While FETBE was represented by Ir Assistant Professor Ahmad Bin Tamby Kadir, the delegates comprised NorthumbriaU School of Computing, Engineering and Information Sciences (SCEIS) Professor of Microwave Imaging Professor David Smith and Head of Subject (Electronic Engineering) Dr Richard Binns; and NorthumbriaU Head of Development Nina Jalaluddin.

UCSI’s International University Collaboration Centre (IUCC) Manager Ernie Chitra Dzureen Bt Awalluddin was also there to facilitate the event.

Leading the discussion was Ir Assistant Professor Ahmad who suggested “a Memorandum of Understanding to be signed between both parties to facilitate further collaboration.”

He also highlighted the feasibility of UCSI students “taking their two-year study at UCSI – where the courses match those of NorthumbriaU’s first two years of study – and thereafter completing their last two years of study at NorthumbriaU.”
