Malaysia needs at least 200,000 engineers by 2020 in order to attain the status of a developed nation. This includes electrical/electronics engineers who design and produce advanced products that are powered by electricity. Fueling this need is the country's E&E (electrical & electronics) sector which is home to about 1,900 companies that provide employment to over 350,000 people.*

In Malaysia, most of the companies in this sector are engaged in the design and manufacture of electronic components (nuts & bolts of electronic equipment), consumer electronics (audio, visual and games console), and industrial electronics (office, telecommunications, computer, etc.).

For those interested in a career in electrical engineering, here is a list of course fees from the country's private institutions of higher learning.
