An engineering student from the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) won second place in this year's Malaysian Materials Engineering Lecture Competition.
The event is jointly organised by the Institute of Materials Malaysia and the Institute of Materials Minerals and Mining. It was held at the Dewan Merdeka, Putra World Trade Centre last 14 May 2014.
Kudzai Nigel Chitewe is the only international student from the only private institution among the finalists. He has initially won the in-house APU Material Lecture competition on 21 February and then proceeded to achieve a finalist postition in the National Semi-Finals held at UiT M Shah Alam on 3 April.
Kudzai received a cash prize of RM2,000 and a certificate of recognition.
