
General Requirements
- Candidate must not be color blind or physically handicapped which makes them unable to conduct experimental/practical work.
- General English requirements:
- A score of not less than 550 in the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL)
- A minimum overall band score of 6.0 in the British Council's IELTS
- A minimum overall band score of 4 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
1. Matriculation / Asasi / Foundation
- Pass SPM/equivalent with good results and especially get a pass in Malay language and acquire distinctions in Additional Mathematics and Mathematics.
- Pass Matriculation Certificate/Foundation of Science with at least:
- a minimum CGPA of 2.75 and pass all major subjects
- a minimum of Grade B- in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics/Biology
2. STPM
- Pass SPM/equivalent with good results and especially get a pass in Malay language and acquire distinctions in Additional Mathematics and Mathematics.
- Pass STPM/equivalent with at least:
- Grade E in General Knowledge/General Paper.
- Pass with Grade B- in Additional Mathematics or Advanced Additional Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics/Biology.
3. Diploma
- Pass SPM/equivalent with good results and especially get a pass in Malay language and acquire distinctions in Additional Mathematics and Mathematics.
- Possesses an Engineering Diploma with at least CPA 2.70 or possesses an Engineering Diploma with at least CPA 2.50 plus have 2 years of experience in related field from an institution accredited by the Malaysian Ministry of Education and approved by the University’s Senate.
4. International qualifications
A-levels
Minimum of AAB or AAA in:

- Maths
- Chemistry (chemical, petroleum, nanotechnology, biomedical)
- Physics (civil, mechanical, aeronautical, automotive, electrical, industrial, mechatronic, engineering technology)
Useful
- Further maths
- Design technology
- Geography (civil)
IB Diploma
36 points with 5 in Mathematics and Physics at the higher level.
