Why Study at Geospatial Science and Technology College (GSTC)

GSTC is a private higher learning institution managed by Geospatial Science and Geomatics Education Group Sdn Bhd, and educational based company under Yayasan Kebajikan Jurukur Tanah Berdaftar, providing educational opportunities primarily for fresh school leavers and working adult learners. 

The primary objective of Geospatial Science and Technology College (GSTC) is to produce high quality graduates in Geospatial and Technology. Established in 2013, GSTC currently offers Certificate and Diploma programmes that inculcate real world practices as a pathway to professional success.

All GSTC Diploma and Certificate programmes are approved by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and recognized by the Lembaga Jurukur Tanah Malaysia.

As such, Geospatial Science and Technology College (GSTC) graduates will have the opportunity to further their studies at local or overseas universities. They will also have the option to work immediately in either government or private sectors.

Internal Scholarships Provided by GSTC

No internal scholarship is offered as of now. There are no external sponsorships can be advised to students for now. 

What You Should Know About Geospatial Science and Technology College (GSTC)


Student Accommodation

  • We provide a comfortable fully-furnished apartment for students to live in near the campus. Students will be staying at the PV2 Melati Condominium Complex located approximately 2.5km from campus
  • The condominiums are guarded by security personnel on a 24-hour basis. The guards are stationed at the main entrance with regular patrolling intervals on the hostel grounds. Students can fully focus on their studies in a safe environment.
  • Each accommodation unit provides a comfortable and spacious housing for 8 to students with a comfortable bed, study table and a chair plus a dresser for each student.
  • Students also can enjoy the recreational facilities located within the housing vicinity which includes a swimming pool equipped with a gymnasium, a laundry service and a mini market.

Transportation

  • Geospatial Science and Technology College (GSTC) are planning to provide shuttle busses to and from campus and the housing units. Students only need to show their matric cards to get access. This transportation option will be available in the future.
  • In addition, the campus is close to multiple LRT Stations, and e-hailing services around the area is abundant.

Student Parking

  • Guarded parking is available for all students within the campus.

Things to Do Around the Campus

  • Located near the city centre Kuala Lumpur, there are numerous hot spots you can go to near the campus.
  • The newly built Melawati Mall is popular among the students here because it is only steps away from the campus.
  • The campus is also near to the Wangsa Maju Walk which the distance is approximately less than 4 kilometres.
  • There is also a food court located just opposite of the campus for a more affordable eatery option. The hawkers in the food court famously give student discounts if bargained.

Security

The campus provides a secure and guarded security system with 24-hour surveillance on the watch. Outside visitors must register in the lobby before they can access to the campus floor.

  • Yes, students can apply to the college with SPM trial results. In fact, we also offer Malaysian Skills Certificate for PT3 leavers.

Affiliated Organisations & Job Opportunities

We are prodigiously close with our founding members Lembaga Jurukur Tanah, Koperasi Jurukur Tanah Berlesen Berhad and other companies that work intimately with the college to provide internship programmes during the student’s final year and after graduation. These companies includes Jurukur Putra, Jurukur Mohktar Kassim, Jurukur Saharaddin El-Asas (KL), Lembaga Jurukur Tanah, and Jurukur Syed Mohamed.

General Education Subjects (MPU)

  • Students are required to take two (2) MPU subjects per academic year. Amounting to four (4) MPU subjects after two years.
  • These MPU subjects includes Pengajian Malaysia, Etika Profesional, Hubungan Etnik and Khidmat Masyarakat

Graduation Details

Students are required to earn 2.00 CGPA and complete all subjects required in their respective programme to graduate. Graduation ceremonies are held once every 2 years.
