Young Malaysians warned of early bankruptcy

Deputy Finance Minister, Datuk Ahmad Maslan warned that there is a worrying rise in young people below 35 years old being declared bankrupt.

He revealed that in 2012, the number was 4,100, followed by 5,420 in 2013 and 5,497 last year.

“Within the first quarter of this year, 948 people under the age of 35 have been declared bankrupt," he said.
