The Ministry of Education announced that starting this year, matriculation leavers will receive Matriculation Certificate to ensure that they are eligible to apply for jobs in government and private sectors.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Education, Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid who stated that this notion was done as a recognition tomatriculation leavers.

"After considering all the successes achieved by matriculation students, it is time to fully recognize their potentials," he said after visiting Kedah Matriculation College today.

Similar like STPM qualification, the Matriculation Certificate provides matriculation leavers with the option to either work in the government sector or private sector.
