Afterschool

Things are confusing when we are around our early twenties. Sometimes we are trying hard to ‘adult’, yet at the same time, part of us still feel like a child. Have you ever imagined which childhood cartoon character you would become, given what you are studying now?
Mr Bean’s ingenuity often leads him to finding ridiculous and impractical solutions to problems. Well, in engineering, no idea is too crazy. Before 1903, the world would think it was ridiculous for human to fly in the sky. Guess what is the most common mode of transportation across continents now? Airplane.
With $65.4 billion, Scrooge McDuck is perhaps the richest fictional character of all times (and he would be the 5th richest man in real world). He is a business tycoon of the industrial age who is extremely smart with money. His favourite daily activity? Money swim!
Clover is obsessed with fashion, boys and her appearance. In the series, she often talks about outfits to wear on a date and occasionally criticised the villains for their fashion choices. Beauty pageant and modelling stages are what she is always passionate about.
Johnny Bravo is notable for his muscular figure and his yellow hair. He assumes that girls like him and tend to bend them backward while flirting with them, unfortunately he always gets hit by them. Narcissism aside, he does know how to keep himself in shape. He is also confident with himself. With all his time spent in front of the mirror practicing his posture, he could easily shape himself into a supermodel.
Dexter is perhaps one of the smartest cartoon characters. At a very young age, he runs his underground laboratory and carries out scientific experiments. He also has a smart computer that assists him, which sounds like Siri and Alexa in real world.
You may not notice, but Courage is a proud certified therapist (well, issued by his sarcastic computer). The pink little puppy is observant and understands his owners' emotions well. He also tries his best solving issues between the old married couple in one of the episode.
Shaggy and Scooby have large appetites and are often caught indulging a huge amount of food. They are also easily bribed with Scooby Snacks. If Shaggy were to start his study in college, he is very likely to pursue a degree related to food.
Mandy often run campaign for herself as she wants to become the most popular girl in Beverly High. She goes extra mile to publicise herself in school, although this annoys the spies. She created tagline ‘Clover is over’ and makes videos to run for the Homecoming Queen. No doubt, she is going to be a great Mass Comm student.
Dora, with her best monkey pal, Boots often help the animals out in her adventures. Who doesn’t love Dora, right?!
Hope this hit you with some childhood nostalgia and perhaps reminds you your childhood aspiration from these cartoons!
