When SPM results are out, you will get lots of advice from various people about what you should do next.
Basically, someone somewhere is trying to make decisions for you that you will have to live with for the rest of your life. Some of these advice and words of wisdom are very useful and you should certainly take them into consideration. Especially if the person talking is experienced and who comes with a strong industrial background and well aware of the employment market.
