USM's research included in leading scientific journals

Two lecturers from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) made the nation proud when two of their studies were included in two world-leading scientific journals, The Lancet Journal and Natural Genetic Journal.

Vice Chanselor of USM, Prof Datuk Dr Omar Osman said that he is proud of the lecturers' achievements.

They are Prof Dr Kamarul Imran Musa from Department of Community Medicine, and Prof Dr Liza Sharmini Ahmad Tajuddin from Department of Ophthalmology.

"USM will continue to support and promote collaboration to deliver a positive impact on the academic standing of the university, community and country.

"We are proud of their achievements and we hope this can inspire other USMlecturers to achieve the same success," he said.
