Malaysia can serve as an example to other countries in terms of the priority we give to the education sector.
The Director General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova was quoted of saying this during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the UNESCO headquarters here Tuesday.
Muhyiddin, who is also Education Minister, said Bokova views Malaysia as among one of the UNESCO member states active in promoting the UNESCO philosophies.
He said that with the launch of the latest education action plan, the plan to transform the country's education has been completed.
