UK firm no longer hiring based on degree

The accountancy company says there is no evidence that university success correlates with later life achievements.

One of the UK's biggest graduate recruiters, Ernst & Young will be removing the degree classification from its entry criteria.

This move was introduced in order to open opportunities for talented individuals "regardless of their background".

Previously, Ernst & Young had required its candidates a minimum of the equivalent of three B grades at A-level.
