Teachers joining YGMB can benefit RM70,000 with RM10 fee

With a small fee of RM10 to join Yayasan Guru Malaysia Berhad (YGMB), teachers are able to enjoy the benefit up to RM70,000 by joining the foundation.

YGMB Chairman Tan Sri Alimuddin Mohd Dom stated that the benefit is the product of 16 charitable contributions offered to members of the foundation besides funeral expenses, pursue higher education, childbirth and natural disaster.

"At the moment we have about 100,000 members out of 400,000 teachers in this country. So I am hoping for more than half of the total number of teachers to become members of YGMB.

"If they become members, they will get a lot of benefits with only RM10 a month through payroll deduction. If more teachers are to join YGMB, we can add on more benefits for our members," he said.
