STPM and Matriculation leavers with CGPA 2.8 and above gains places in IPTAs

- STPM and Matriculation leavers with CGPA 2.8 and above are given places in IPTAs with the requirement of not declining the course offered to them
- Higher Education Minister, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said it is the first time they are doing so and this will enable 1,894 STPM and Matriculation leavers with CGPA 2.8 and above places in IPTAs which has never happened before.
- "We are ready to offer them places in IPTAs as long as they accept any courses we offer without being choosy," he said.
