Seven polytechnic hostels to be built nationwide

  • Over 10,000 students studying in polytechnics will benefit in this project

The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) will build seven polytechnic hostels nationwide to accommodate some 10,000 students. They are Politeknik Ungku Omar, Politeknik Kota Bharu, Politeknik Jeli, Politeknik Banting, Politeknik Seberang Perai, Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan and Politeknik Port Dickson.

The project, valued at RM288 million, will be developed by Konsortium PAE Sepakat Sdn Bhd.  Once the hostels are completed, which may take about 1 year and 8 months, student accommodation is expected to increase by as much as 45 per cent.
