Secondary students to be taught financial management beginning 2017

• New subject will teach students to manage their finances wisely

Financial education will be integrated into the curriculum beginning 2017 for secondary students. The subjects to be taught however is still under review.

The lesson will see elements like finance planning and management and savings and investment but will be tweaked from time to time by teachers, parents and stakeholders.

This initiative is a joint effort of the Education and Finance Ministries.
