After lasting for one year, he finally decided to leave his well-paid career as an engineer and joined the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) in 2001 as an Assistant Superintendent cadet.

This Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University, Wisconsin degree holder was always looking for something more challenging in life and interests since his school days.

"For me, when we do things with great interest and focus, of course, success will come easily," he said.

Mohamad Roy continued his studies after becoming a policeman and successfully obtained a Master in Business Administration from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in 2006.

He is now the Chief District Police for the Wangsa Maju area at the age of 38 years with a Superintendent rank. He also made history when selected to be one of the youngest police chief.

"I was chosen to shoulder this responsibility because the higher-ups were certainly confident of my abilities and capabilities, so I highly appreciate this trust and will concentrate all my effort to give the best service to the team and for the residents here," he said.
