RM10 million fund for vocational education in Sarawak
- The state of Sarawak just launched the Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak (Bumiputera) Sarawak with an initial amount of RM10mil.
- Tegas will promote technical and vocational education for youths, especially for those in the rural areas.
- One of its purposes is to help meet the demand of workforce for the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE)
- The state aims to produce 50,000 degree holders, 50,000 diploma holders and 250,000 certificate holders within 20 years.
- Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud announced that the state will be spending RM10mil every year for technical and vocational education
