We are delighted to be able to celebrate our inaugural A Level success this afternoon with our students. The results reflect the hard work and determination shown throughout this period of time from our Year 13.
Examinations were taken in May and June of this year, under uncertain circumstances due to the pandemic. Our Year 13 were denied the chance to sit their IGCSE papers in 2020 and they were determined to make every paper count this time around.
The results reflect the support that parents have given and the tuition of our dedicated teachers, who have gone above and beyond to ensure that students achieve their very best.
Some overall highlights from their wonderful achievements are:
Subject specific celebrations are noted with:
Mr Anthony Partington, Principal, said: We are very proud of our inaugural A level students, who in spite of conducting their entire course during the restrictions caused by the pandemic, have applied themselves whole-heartedly to working hard and immersing themselves in their chosen subject specialisms. With the support of their teachers and families, they have today achieved impressive results that match these efforts. They leave us today to go on to university in the UK, Australia and Malaysia and we wish them well for their future studies and for success beyond.”
Mrs Fleming, Head of Secondary, said: “The results are a credit to the hard work and commitment of our students and staff. It has been an incredibly challenging period of examination and education for this group of students, however, as ever, our students are resilient and determined to achieve. These results set a high record for future years to emulate. Congratulations to everyone on their excellent achievements and we wish you the very best of luck in your future adventures.
