Prepare youths for future
- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak says that the nation has to prepare its youth from now for jobs that is not out in the market yet.
- The progress in technology creates upcoming jobs that the people are not ready for. "What we can do is prepare them with higher order skills, with the ability to not only think at a deeper level but also creatively," he said.
- He addresses top flight teachers under the Government's Guru Cemerlang programme to ensure their students are flexible to address any situation.
- The Guru Cemerlang programme was launched in the 1990s, aimed to develop top teachers for Malaysia's path towards a high-income nation.
- Najib urged teachers to help maintain 60% of the country's students in the Science stream.
