Over one-third of Malaysian teachers are very good in English, says study
Thirty-seven per cent (37%) of English language teachers in Malaysia achieve C1 and C2 levels in proficiency, which were very good, according to preliminary results from a comprehensive study done by the Cambridge Language Assessment.

Last year, two-thirds of 70,000 English language teachers in Malaysia failed to reach a proficient English level.

This is an improvement from last year's results. Moreover, the study found that 85% of students were interested in learning English while 97% of English teachers were interested in their field.
