Do you want to pursue your degree, masters or PhD abroad? This might be great news for you. Hungary, which is one of the most attractive destinations of Europe is offering over 40 scholarships for Malaysian students to pursue their tertiary education in Hungary. What’s even better is that you can choose to study in the field of your choice. There are over 500 degree programmes you can choose from.
14 regions with a total of 33 universities are involved as participating universities. 18 of these scholarships are offered in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
The scholarship covers tuition fees, monthly stipend, accommodation and even medical insurance.
This prestigious higher education scholarship programme known as Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme was introduced in 2013 by the Hungarian government. Upon establishment, it was found that the take-up rate remained low.

As reported by Bernama, the Hungarian Ambassador, Dr Petra Ponevacs-Pana aims to promote the scholarship among Malaysian students. This is to improve international relations of the academic and research community while gaining an increased recognition of its higher education all over the world.
