Only 60 thousand UPU applicants will get placement

Unit Pusat Universiti(UPU) has received about 300,000 applications from students for admission to public universities for 2016/2017 academic session.

Higher Education Minister Dato’ Seri Idris Jusoh stated that from that total amount, only 60,000 placements are offered to students who qualify for the upcoming intake.

According to him, the ministry has organized Jom Masuk IPT programe which was held at 6 zones all around Malaysia since last January in order to give more exposure to students when it comes to making choices in continuing their studies.
