Number of skilled workers still low
The number of skilled workers in Malaysia is still low. People who can adapt to changing market demands are necessary for countries who wish to attract more investors.

According to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak, the country aims to achieve 33% in the high-skilled jobs category by 2015 and 50% by 2020. He urged the private sector to support potential skilled workers by providing employment opportunities.

Compared to high-income nations, the percentage of Malaysia's skilled workers is still low. To date, we have 434 public and 753 private skills training institutes.
