The issue of unemployment among young people can be overcome if our youths get rid of the perception of how hard it is to get work before even trying, and not be too choosy.

Head of UMNO Puchong, Datuk Dr. Mohamad Satim Diman said, this is because of the attitude of most graduates or young people who like to take the easy way by giving excuses that there are no proper employment opportunities.

"Stop making excuses when actually there are many more jobs that could be filled by graduates. They just have to try to seize the opportunity provided especially by the government.

"See, now we have more organized job fairs, a lot of companies are in need of employees. The Puchong Parliament is also contributing as next month we will be organizing a Career Carnival 2015 for Malaysians," he said in a press conference to inform the organization of the carnival.

The carnival will be organized by the Association of Public Welfare and and Community Development Council (Mayang), Puchong Parliament and the Ministry of Human Resources and will take place on June 6 at the Giant Hypermarket Pinggiran Putra starting from 9am to 5pm.

He promised that students will only need to bring their resume and pass it on to the company themselves. After that they will continue to be interviewed and the results will be released in a short time.
