Navis supports SEGi’s Centre of Excellence for Business & Accountancy studies

Navis Capital Partners (Navis), a shareholder of SEG International Bhd (SEGi), will be playing a more significant role in support of SEGi’s efforts to improve upon student experience and programme quality. Mr Nicholas Bloy, the Managing Partner of Navis, is committed to sharing the experiences of his firm in the business and accounting industry with SEGi students to enrich their knowledge.

Navis is a private equity company in Asia with 7 offices in the ASEAN region, managing funds of more than USD3 billion. Nicholas was announced as one of the main industry advisors for the Group during a launch of the Centre of Excellence for Business & Accountancy at the new  building of SEGi College Kuala Lumpur on May 27.

"To prospective students who might be thinking about SEGi, I think you can be comforted in the knowledge that ahead of you are cohorts of people now in the workforce who came through SEGi; they went through a reasonably affordable way and they got a great education at the end of it,” said Bloy in a one-to-one interview before the launch.

Mr Bloy has extensive experience in a wide range of industries including consumer and industrial goods, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, conglomerates, electronics, financial services and others. He has served in top management positions in large and international corporations.

Currently SCKL has industry advisors for the fields of business administration, human resource management & marketing, accounting & taxation; all of whom are from large corporations such as Malaysian Employers Federation, OSK Investment Bank Berhad and Calms Technology.
