Starting next year, the National Youth Skills Institute (IKBN) will be having two sessions to accommodate the growing number of student intake which could reach from 10,000 to 15,000 annually.
At the moment, seats at IKBN institutions are utilised between 70 to 80 per cent.
Aside from conducting two sessions, expansion projects of existing branches are in the pipeline to help accommodate 2,500 students in the first year and the rest in the second year. Number of teaching staff, beds and facilities will be increased which will amount to RM50 million.
