Muhammad Faris Fiqran bin Muhammad, a student from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) at Multimedia University (MMU) has made the university proud by clinching second place in the higher education institution category of the Pertandingan Pidato SMJ Piala Ketua Menteri. The competition was held on 6 November 2024 at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).
Faris impressed the judges with his insightful speech, earning him a trophy and a cash prize of RM1,000. The competition, which attracted contestants from various institutions, featured both preliminary and semi-final rounds conducted online. Out of these rounds, only five finalists were selected to compete in the grand finale held in person.
The participants not only showcased their skills in elaborating on the concept of Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) but also inspired the audience to deeply appreciate the essence of the SMJ initiative, which has been a key focus of the state government since its introduction in March 2021.
