Multimedia University (MMU) has achieved an improvement in its global standing, securing a spot in the 1001-1200 range in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025, announced on 9 October 2024. The THE World University Rankings are widely recognised as the only global performance tables that assess research-intensive universities across five key areas: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry engagement, and international outlook.
This achievement highlights MMU’s progress under its Research-led, Industry-driven University (RIU) focus, particularly in the industry engagement pillar, where significant strides have been made. MMU’s strong commitment to industry-relevant initiatives has enabled it to establish deeper connections with industry partners, enhancing research collaborations and fostering innovations that address real-world challenges.
