Kolej Antrabangsa Yayasan Melaka (KAYM) plans to venture into the pastry shop franchising business under the brand D' Cicipi beginning next year. The business will be led by the college's 300 culinary students who are now being trained under celebrity chef, Liza Zainol.

Said Datuk Saroni Judi, chief executive, "the students will be completing their studies in mid-2015 and they will be given the opportunity to be franchisees of the brand all over the country."  Saroni added that this initiative enables students to become entrepreneurs in the halal pastry business.

In the near term, Saroni said that KAYM may work with hypermarket companies to produce skilled and successful workforce in the retail business. Programmes at KAYM focuses on skills development through the cooperation of related industries.
