MARA disapproves students involved in ISIS

MARA will not give a second chance to its sponsored students who are involved in terrorism activities including ISIS.

The Chairman of MARA, Tan Sri Annuar Musa stated that there are solid proofs of students' involvement in ISIS. Students who are found guilty will have their MARA contract and scholarshipterminated immediately.

This warning was issued following Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's revelations, who confirmed the university as one of the most powerful militant influence.

Early reports also revealed that some of MARAsponsored students in the United States (US) who are involved in usrah need to be monitored. Even though no serious threat was reported, but their activities sparked concern.

Annuar urged local public universitiesto monitor the activities of non-academic and external associations involving students. This is because the militant groups are known to actively disseminate their propaganda at every level of society including professionals.
