In response to Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's urge for people to provide recommendations for the 2016 Budget which will be tabled in Parliament on 23 October, Malaysian students have joined in enthusiastically to provide their own PoVs.
A major in law at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Atifah Muhammad believes Malaysians deserve free education in order to reduce the financial burden faced by many.
She had had to spend almost RM1,500 per semester for tuition and residential colleges.
An Actuarial Science student studying UM, Nurul Nadia Nabila M Arshad also expects the government to provide funds to build additional college dorms because there is not enough amenities and her friends who had to resort to renting houses find it costly.
