Malaysian polytechnics to go green

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin launched the PolyGreen Polytechnic Malaysia Blueprint in Merlimau, today.

Muhyiddin, who is also the Minister of Education considers the program will be able to integrate green development in the teaching and learning system which involves five aspects: management of a green campus, a green curriculum development, encouragement of green communities, green research and green acculturation.

He said the practice based on the 6R principal of Reuse, Reduce, Renew, Recycle, Repair and Rethink will become a culture all citizens politenik.

"Next we hope that all polytechnic graduates will become agents of change leading green technology in their future careers."
