This achievement underlines its goal to further strengthen polytechnic transformation through offering courses that respond to societal needs. The first intake started with four bachelor programmes:

Three degree programmes offered by premier polytechnics

  • BS in International Hospitality and Tourism Management (Hons) at Polytechnic of Sultan Ibrahim, Johor Baru
  • Bachelor of Technology Facilities Management (Hons) at Polytechnic Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, Selangor
  • Bachelor of Technology Civil Engineering (Hons) at Ungku Omar Polytechnic, Perak

One detached programme offered by Polytechnic Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah-UTHM

  • Bachelor of Packaging Engineering Technology (Hons)

The programmes use the concept of 'work-based learning' where students will be placed in the industry for two semesters (one year) in tuition for eight semesters (four years).
