Based on a research done by British Council, Malaysia is on par with Germany in education.
The research entitled Shape of Global Higher Education: National Policies Framework for International Engagement reported the education policies in 26 countries based on 37 indicators.
According to the survey manager of Times Higher Education (THE), Michael Peak, Malaysia and Germany are the two countries that have a balanced portfolio in higher education.
Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Datuk Seri Dr Mohamed Mustafa Ishak said that the government's policy to make the country a hub for higher education appears to have succeeded.
