Although the country has created over 400,000 jobs last year, Malaysia is still in search for more highly skilled workers.
According to the Institute of Labour Market Information and Analysis (ILMIA), Malaysia lacked employees with specialisation. Currently on 28% of the 12.7 million strong labour force of Malaysia is made up of high-skilled workers.
Research findings show that jobs which were in demand but we not well-known to the general public were:
The country has many doctors, most general practitioners, but lacks specialists. Similarly, China and India are also in need for more highly skilled workers
