Malaysia an important exporter in education sector

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak talks nation building through higher education institutions.

Malaysia has over 135,000 international students from about 160 countries, studying at public higher education institutions, and private and international schools.

Malaysia also managed to set up 20 public universities, is host to a number of university colleges and hundreds of private higher education institutions including world-renowned branch campuses.

He said, "However, despite all this, and our policy of sending students abroad, we still need to develop more expertise as a nation. This is why the policy has to keep on going."
