MAINS finds suitable country for student sponsorship

Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Sembilan (MAINS) is identifying a number of countries with higher education systems and a good environment for sending the students they sponsor.

"Previously, we often send our students to Egypt and Jordan, but we have decided to reduce the transmission of there because there are some things such as the situation in Egypt itself". said MAINS chairman, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

He claims that the city of Cairo in Egypt is very crowded and not conducive to learning, and University of Al-Azhar, although well-known has since adopted an open system that can cause students to lose focus.

While in Jordan, he said the high cost of living has also put pressure on the students to concentrate on their studies.

Thus, Mohamad said MAINS is currently identifying a number of other countries to send its scholars including Morocco, which is peaceful and has a good system of higher education. In addition, MAINS is also seeing the potential in Sudan and South Africa.
