KPerak contest aims to inspire young filmmakers

KPerak has announced the launch of Karnival Media Kreatif 2012 (KMKK2012), an ICT-themed carnival that introduces ICT in a fun and creative way. This two-day event will be held on 15 and 16 December at the Perak Techno Trade Centre (PTTC). This event is also a collaboration with the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), the country's ICT agency.

In conjunction with the carnival, the organiser is launching two competitions for all Malaysians:

  • Short Film Competition - participants have to submit a three-minute film with the theme "Perak Negeriku". The film must be about historical places in Perak, its famous people, local food or anything related to the state. The first prize is RM15,000, second and third are RM10,000 and RM5,000
  • Landscape Photography Competition - participants will have to submit panoramic pictures portraying locations in Perak. The first prize is RM5,000, second and third are RM3,000 and RM2,000, respectively.
