  • TESL and Postgrad teaching jobs have been secured to accommodate over 10,000 graduates
  • Graduates who pass and fulfill the requirements are entitled for these jobs
Just in time for World Teachers' Day, the Government announced that it has offered postings to the more than 10,000 graduates of teacher training institutions and Bachelor of Education graduates from public universities who complete their studies this year.
Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, however, said they had to first fulfil the criteria and pass the Education Services Commission's (SPP) interview process.

“The interviews have been scheduled for 2,960 graduates who have completed their studies before July 1,” he said.
“While the interviews are being carried out, the ministry will give this group of teachers interim postings from Oct 16 onwards.
“They will be given permanent positions once they pass their interviews,” Muhyiddin, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister, said in a statement yesterday.
This batch includes 2,478 J-Qaf graduates, 368 Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) graduates and 90 Postgraduate Teacher Training Programme (KPLI) graduates.
The others are 14 from the French language programme and 10 candidates who are repeating their interviews due to option requirements by the ministry.
